Four of the EJ575 electric multiple units built by Škoda Vagonka in the Czech Republic were delivered to Lithuania in 2008. AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways) ordered ten units in total; most of them operating on the major route between the two Lithuanian cities of Vilnius and Kaunas, and some on the secondary route Vilnius – Trakai.
The EJ575 consists of three coaches which provide accommodation for 304 seated and 328 standing passengers plus accommodation for bicycles. Folding ramps are provided for the use of passengers with disabilities. Maximum operational speed is 99 mph or 160 kph.
