TEP-70 (TЗП70)

TEP70 – main line single unit diesel passenger locomotive. With 2A-5D49, 4-stroke, V16 engine locomotive can reach 160km/h (99m/h) speed. TEP-70 has been built by Kolomna Locomotive Works (Russia), although it was not a child of Russian engineers. TEP-70 was copied from British Hawker Siddley Kester diesel unit. Two of them Kolomna Locomotive Works bought a few years before TEP-70 was released.
